Engineer/Engineering Analyst–Condition Based Maintenance (CBM)- Plant Hatch

Southern Nuclear Operating Company's Engineering organization is seeking a high performing individual with an analytical mindset.

Summary of Position Duties

This position will report to the Component Maintenance Optimization Manager and will be responsible analyzing data in the areas of vibration, thermography, and oil sampling. This position will analyze and develop recommendations based upon findings which will improve the equipment reliability at Plant Hatch.

Duties may include but are not limited to, the following:

  • Analyze data for oil, vibration, and thermography

  • Development of quarterly report and monthly summaries

  • Communicate findings and/or recommendations for equipment improvements

  • Work with fleet subject matter experts on large equipment issues

  • Provide effective and efficient support of plant departments in trouble shooting and problem resolution activities.

  • Must model safe work behaviors

  • Must be able to hold self and others accountable for safe work behaviors

  • Ensure personnel embrace the use of Human Performance Tools (Fleet and Engineering).

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field required

Job Experience

  • Two or more years of Condition Based Maintenance technology experience is desired

  • Current or Previous CBM Technology Certifications

Other Required Attributes:

  • Strong condition based maintenance (CBM) implementation and analysis of CBM data is desired

  • Working knowledge of common computer tools, including Microsoft Word and Excel.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Demonstrate high level of work performance
